THE GALWAY singer-songwriter Rob Wade will launch his new single ‘Trained Fighter’ with a gig at Monroe’s Live this Sunday at 9pm.
Rob’s third single, ‘Trained Fighter’, follows the release of the film The Underground, which features the song on its soundtrack. The short film, produced by Stephen Kenny, features former WBO Middleweight Champion Steve Collins as an underground fighter in Galway. Rob also appears in a supporting role in the film.
Rob’s debut single, ‘My Life Story’, won the YouBloom Music Awards and has been praised by Bob Geldof. It reached No 4 in the iTunes Singles Charts, and the video received 20,000 hits in its first fortnight of release. The follow-up, ‘Canvas of Life’ reached No 2 in the iTunes Singles Charts and No 51 in the IRMA Charts.
Support is from The Amazing Apples, John Gaughan, and Chris Haze. Tickets are available on the door or through www.monroes.ie and 091 - 583397.
‘Trained Fighter’ will be available through iTunes on Monday from 9am. See www.robwademusic.com
