THE LAUNCH of two different poetry collections - one in book form, the other in CD form - will be launched in the Galway City Museum’s Kitchen Café this Saturday at 7pm.
Cinderella Backwards, the new poetry CD by Galway poets Elaine Feeney and Sarah Clancy and Bare Hands, a poetry and photography anthology, will both be launched by city arts officer James Harrold. There will be readings and performances from the writers and live music.
Cinderella Backwards has been released by Feeney and Clancy in order to capture some of the electricity and energy of their live poetry performances. Proceeds from sale of the CD will go to the Galway Pro–Choice group in support of its campaign calling for immediate legislation to be passed on the X Case.
Bare Hands is an anthology of poetry and photography edited by poets Kerrie O’Brien and Sarah Marie Griffin. It features new work from more than 25 Irish and international writers, displayed alongside photographs from some 15 different photographers.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
