THE ROLLING Stones sang about ‘Ruby Tuesday’; Primal Scream had ‘Gentle Tuesday’, but Galway has Wayword Tuesdays, a new book by the Tuesday Knights.
Wayword Tuesdays, a collection of poetry featuring the work of Galway writers Stephen Byrne, Bernie Ashe, Anne Irwin, Eileen Ní Shuilleabháin, Ruth Quinlan, Dave Donovan, and Breege Wardein (AKA the Tuesday Knights ) will be launched tomorrow at 6pm in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop.
The guest speaker will be Macnas artistic director Noeline Kavanagh, followed by a brief reading by each of the contributing poets.
This group grew out of the Over The Edge Tuesday workshops in the Galway Arts Centre with Kevin Higgins. This new publication is an eclectic mix of styles, themes, and tones that reflects the results the writer’s journeys thus far.
