LIAM O’FLAHERTY was one of Ireland’s greatest short story writers and a meeting takes place next week to look at how to celebrate and honour the writer and the man.
The meeting will take place in the Galway City Library on Thursday November 29 from 6pm to 8pm, with the aim of discussing whether an interest in Liam O’Flaherty and his work can be revived, and what shape such ideas could take.
The organisers are calling on anyone with an interest in the Inis Mór born writer, or connections to him, or who has collections, letters, or mementoes of any kind concerning him, to attend.
