Galway hillwalking club to hold open meeting

Coiribe Hillwalking Club, based in Galway city, will hold an open meeting in the Menlo Park Hotel on Thursday November 22 at 8pm. New members welcome.

The club is a mixed group of walkers who climb the lower, medium, and higher peaks in Connemara, Clare, and south Mayo. The walks take place on a fortnightly basis.

The group is always led by a trained leader and members have been climbing as a group for the past 11 years. Next week’s open meeting will give new members the opportunity to chat with existing club members to hear about the club. There will also be a slideshow presentation of walks and outings which have taken place during the year. Membership, including insurance cover with the Mountaineering Council of Ireland, costs €50 per annum.

Anyone interested in making new friends, keeping fit, and enjoying a new interest and healthier lifestyle is invited to come along to this open meeting. All are welcome.
