Galway teen records EP for Galway Hospice

A Galway teenager has recorded a four track EP the sale of which will raise funds for the Galway Hospice Foundation.

Thirteen-year-old Renmore girl Clare Quinn has recorded Smile, which contains her versions of Nat King Cole’s ‘Smile’, Alison Krauss’ ‘It Doesn’t Matter’, the traditional German song ‘Edelweiss’, and the Irish folk song ‘The Water is Wide’.

Clare is a pupil of Dominican College, Taylor’s Hill and a former pupil of Scoil Cathriona, Renmore. Smile was recorded in The Forge Recording Studio in Galway and is available in OMG (formerly Zhivago Records ) Shop Street; O’Brien’s Newsagents, William Street; Duggan’s in Renmore; and XL Newsagents, Eyre Square Centre.

Fundraising will also take place in the Eyre Square Centre where the CD will also be available. Smile costs €5 and all proceeds are being donated to Galway Hospice Foundation.
