JCI entrepreneur gala finals to take place tomorrow

Tomorrow (Friday ) sees the final of the Galway Advertiser-sponsored Junior Chamber Galway Young Entrepreneur of the year awards 2012. The awards ceremony commences at 6.30pm at the Menlo Park Hotel with a drinks reception. Seating for dinner will commence at 7pm, followed by a welcoming speech by JCI president Anne Marie Shanahan.

Co-chairperson of the awards Orla Roche will then deliver a short talk about the awards ceremony, while 2011 winner Kevin Nugent of Mr Waffle will follow with his experience of winning the competition and the benefits gained by doing so.

The first guest speaker will be Gene Browne, CEO of The City Bin Company and the first winner of the JCI Galway Young Entrepreneur. Mr Browne, who won the award in 1999, will speak about the success story of The City Bin Company. After dinner, the nine finalists will have their final interview on stage with MC Padraig O Maille. This process will be carried out in front of their peers, sponsors, the Galway business community, family, and friends.

At 11pm the second guest speaker of the night, Pat Joyce of Joyce's Supermarket Group, will speak about his own business experience and what led him to leading such a successful supermarket group.

Finally, the winner will be announced at 12 midnight by chairman of the judging panel John Lalor, who co-founded the awards.
