SCULLION, ONE of the great Irish folk/rock/trad bands, featuring Sonny Condell, Robbie Overson, and Philip King, play the Róisín Dubh on Friday November 16 at 8pm.
The band recently released a new album, Long Wave, and they will be playing songs from this, as well as many from their peerless back catalogue, at the show. The album includes a new version of Philip King’s ‘Fear’ and an instrumental by Robbie Overson. Sonny Condell’s songs are, as ever, the foundation of the band’s sound.
Condell, Overson, and King remain true to their eclectic musical roots. They are nourished by tradition, translate and deconstruct it, and transmit an individual musical experience for capacity audiences whenever they choose to perform.
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, from the Ticket Desk at OMG, Shop Street (formerly Zhivago ), and The Róisín Dubh.
