THE BABORÓ festival has concluded but that does not mean that theatre shows and experiences for children should come to a close for another year.
As a result, Branar Téatar do Phaistí in association with An Taibhdhearc and Baboró will present a season of theatre for children on the first Saturday of each month starting this Saturday and running until April. The ‘Saturday Shows’ take place in An Taibhdhearc, Middle Street, with two performances of each show at 11am and 1pm.
Saturday will see Croí á Mhúscailt/Awakening a Heart, which centres on the relationship between a young girl and her grandmother. Grandad is not in his chair anymore. Granny packs away the memories of their life in suitcases. The girl unpacks them and breathes into them new life. The story is told through puppetry and music.
