Wildflowers - the sound of Galway Americana

WILDFLOWERS, the folk/roots/Americana band of Noriana Kennedy, Noelie McDonnell, and Nicola Joyce, play this month’s Spirit of Voice festival.

Wildflowers perform original songs and folk song from Ireland and America and they play An Taibhdhearc on Friday November 9. As part of their set they will perform songs from their debut album set for release next February 2013.

Noriana Kennedy is a singer-songwriter whose solo album Ebb’n’Flow has received rave reviews in Ireland and Australia. ABC Australia has called her “an exceptional young artist with a rare ability”.

Tuam singer-songwriter Noelie McDonnell has been described by The New York Post as “a startlingly good new Irish talent”. He has recorded three solo albums to date.

Headford’s Nicola Joyce is best known as the lead singer of award-winning Irish group Gráda. The Wall Street Journal called her “a magnificent vocalist who sings with sheer beauty and poignancy”.
