Minister Burton to open employer briefing in Galway

Social protection minister Joan Bruton will be in Galway tomorrow to host special briefing for employers on her department’s services.

The meeting will take place at the Meyrick Hotel where Minister Burton will outline how her department’s employment service can help employers access skilled, job-ready candidates at no cost to their companies.

Speakers at the event include employers who have used schemes such as the Employer Incentive Scheme and who have recruited skilled workers via thedepartment’s Jobs Ireland service. Information on JobBridge – the National Internship Scheme - will also be available.

The event is supported by Chambers Ireland, CIPD, Eures, IBEC, and the Revenue Commissioners in a bid to improve the labour market.
