Warm up your appetite with Artisan Restaurant’s new winter menu

Artisan Restaurant, winner of the ‘Best Restaurant in Connacht’ at the Irish Restaurant Awards earlier this year, has just launched its delectable new winter menu. Comprising a host of mouth watering seafood, steak, and vegetarian options, the award winning restaurant has truly exceeded its own impeccable standards with a new set of dishes, which can only be described as a delicious infusion of carefully selected ingredients and mouth watering flavour.

Tempting starter options include baked Connemara crab on toasted brioche and lime aioli, 12 Year Jameson marinated organic salmon gravlax, whiskey and maple syrup glaze, or for those feeling a little ‘gamey’ – pan seared loin of rabbit served with sauté cabbage, bacon, and carrot with thyme jus. Boasting fantastic variety across the entire menu, Artisan’s sage and horseradish homemade potato gnocchi with light Cooleeney cheese is certain to be a popular choice among vegetarians. Seafood lovers should take a voyage on the sea of tantalising meal options at the Artisan restaurant. Among these include pan-roasted monkfish fillet, cassoulet canneli bean, pork confit and Toulouse sausage, tomato and smoked paprika jus.

All of the dishes presented by Artisan’s head chef, Mark Campbell, have been carefully selected and artistically designed using locally sourced produce, and organic products are included where possible. In addition to the new menu, Artisan’s wine list has been extended to include a 2009 Gavilan from Spain, wines from New Zealand’s Craggy Range, as well as a 2006 Australian Shiraz.

Located in one of the best spots in the city, above the popular Ti Neachtain’s pub, Artisan’s windows look down on the charming medieval buildings of Quay Street and Cross Street. If you are looking for somewhere to while away a couple of hours while enjoying some palate pleasing food, look no further the Artisan restaurant where the candlelight, soft sounds, and subdued lighting creates the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy some extraordinary dishes.
