Toni&Guy Galway, renowned for its innovative and creative hair styles, has introduced a new concept to its patrons in the form of a pop-up shop, fashion show and free hair and beauty consultations monthly.
Established at the Cornstore at St Augustine Street for more than a decade, it is working in conjunction with various international fashion designers, Wibo Cosmetics and Roza’s Beauty Rooms, at the salon.
The fashion show and pop-up shop is the brainchild of Ronan and Gabriela Patterson, photographer Oskar Boral and GO modelling agency which was set up specifically for these events.
It will host South African designer Charlotte Vike with her range “Daphney” on Saturday October 20. Her inspiration comes from her everyday life and people around her, especially the two different cultures in which she was raised. She uses powerful and vivid colours to breathe life to her ideas. The Daphney clothing range comprises a collection of elegant, unique and colourful accessories and dresses.
On the same day the salon will introduce the new Roza’s beauty rooms and the first body wrap bar in Galway. In addition to offering beauty treatments such as manicure and pedicure, waxing, and massage, the beauty rooms wil provide an extensive selection of body wrap treatments. These will include the pure collagen anti-ageing wrap, slimming wrap, moisturising and nourishing goat’s milk wrap, the anti-cellulite and detoxifying seaweed wrap and the amber dust exfoliating body massage that leaves the skin cleansed and glowing.
Toni &Guy is also introducing a new innovation to replace spray tan - a tan massage which penetrates deep into each skin layer and helps to promote a longer lasting and more even result.
And the top hair trends for autumn/winter? Retro rolls and pin curls are big news. To create these looks at home follow Tony&Guy’s step by step instructions below:-
Lola – Retro Roll
Hair is divided into a central parting and each side is backcombed to make the hair lightweight and easier to manipulate. Using Label.M hairspray, the hair is then manipulated into rolls to be stabilised with pins and hairspray. Finish the look using Label.M Shine Mist.
Cora – Pin Curl
Hair is washed using Label.M Treatment Shampoo and Alter Ego Passion Fruits Copper conditioner to intensify colour. Label.M Volume Mousse is then applied to create texture and volume. The hair is blow- dried with volume then set on large velcro rollers. Once the hair is cool, it is then manipulated into large curls and secured with pins. Hair is finished with Label.M hairspray.
