Clare Rooney — body transformation specialist

Clare Rooney is a personal trainer, nutrition and lifestyle coach based in Oranmore. Her company Quantum Fitness was set up in 2003 to address the need for a more scientific approach to training.

Clare Rooney has completed a degree in physical education with the University of Limerick, seven internships with the world renowned Paul Chek, and eight years of intensive internships with the world’s most famous strength coach, Charles Poliquin. She is now ranked as his most highly qualified female strength coach in Europe.

She has also completed a two year training programme in Pilates in Germany and has lectured internationally on the subject. She is also Galway’s only Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor™ (a nutritional profiling system based on genetic markers ).

The approach at Quantum Fitness is rigorous biomechanical assessment to find the health and structural balance of the muscles, joints, and spine. Clients are screened for their hormonal profile based on where they store their body fat. The client’s nutritional programme is a fingerprint based on his/her genetics (metabolic typing ) and current state of health (hormonal profile ). As a nationally ranked athlete (gold medallist in spring board diving, national record holder in Olympic lifting ), Clare Rooney has ‘in the trenches’ experience spanning 24 years to help you realise your fitness and fat loss goals.

“If you are in the Galway area of Ireland you have my strongest advice to look Clare up if you want to get fitter, leaner and healthier,” said Nick Mitchel, voted London’s number 1 personal trainer, and feature writer for Men’s Health.
