What Richard Did @ The Eye cinema

WHAT RICHARD Did, described by Hot Press’s Tara Brady as “the most important Irish film of this century”, will receive a special screening in The Eye on Tuesday October 2 at 7pm.

The film is directed by Lenny Abrahamson (Garage, Adam & Paul ) who will also attend the screening and partake in a Q&A with the audience afterwards.

Richard Karlsen, a golden-boy athlete and undisputed alpha-male of his privileged set of south Dublin teenagers, is getting ready to go to university. Then, one summer night Richard does something which shatters his and the lives of the people closest to him. What Richard Did is a quietly devastating study of a boy confronting the gap between who he thought he was and who he proves to be.
