Sandra Coffey to release debut single

GALWAY SINGER Sandra Coffey releases her debut single ‘Mascara Girl’ on iTunes from tomorrow, in anticipation of her forthcoming album.

The song was written by Trevor Conway and recorded in Galway city’s Forge Studios.

“The song gets inside a woman’s thoughts as she gets ready for a date on a summer’s evening,” says Sandra. “She is trying to make decisions on her appearance and attitude. It’s the thoughts a woman has before she takes the steps out the door, that’s what I find interesting.”

Sandra is a classically trained singer and her album will feature hints of her classical influences as well as pop-rock stylings. Sandra’s mentor Paul Harrington, former Eurovision winner, describes her as having “a powerful and soulful voice which effortlessly reaches high notes”.
