The group Ceol Aniar have just launched their first song which promotes the Galway Senior Hurlers in their bid to bring the Liam McCarthy Cup back to the west.
The CD single, entitled 'The Tribesmen Are Back', features music and lyrics written by Ríona Holohan who hails from Abbey in Loughrea and is performed by her group Ceol Aniar. This has been a real family and friends affair with Ríona, two of her brothers - Brian and Ronan, her sister Maria, two brothers-in-law - Colin Killeen and Martin Glynn, and friends Eamonn Quinn and Gerard and Yvonne Fahy recording the song in The Forge Recording Studio, Galway.
Limited copies of the CD single are available to buy in Zhivago, Shop Street, Galway, Joyces supermarket, Supermac’s, SuperValu in Loughrea, Portumna, and Gort, and various shops and pubs throughout the county. It is also available to download on iTunes.
