THE GALWAY Arts Centre will be holding its first ‘Prom’ this Saturday, and yes, you will be expected to dress for the occasion.
Doors open from 8pm and prom attire is mandatory. Artist David Callan will be the DJ. He may play requests and is definitely playing a slow set. Official prom photos will also be taken.
So if you want to dance with your crush under the glittering light of a disco ball, the romantic rustle of your magenta taffeta tuxedo/frock complementing amazing music while you are slightly giddy from the GAC Prom Punch, go to the Galway Arts Centre.
Admission is €10 and all proceeds will go towards the GAC exhibition Sync, a group exhibition for children with ASD.
Sync, curated by Maeve Mulrennan and John J Twomey, features new work by Daniel Greaney, Elmarie Collins, and Sarah O’Brien and is part of the upcoming Baboró International Festival for Children.
