Student accommodation at Ros Geal

Ros Geal university centre and residence is one answer to the question of where to stay when starting college in Galway. Located just opposite NUI Galway, it offers full board to female students in a homely atmosphere where priority is given to academic excellence.

“For students of all levels, degree, master’s, or doctorate, who are looking to make the most of their college experience, a student residence can be a good option,” explained Margaret Meagher, manager of Ros Geal university residence.

Among its facilities, the residence has a computer suite, a spacious library, an independent tutorial room, a chapel, two sitting rooms, and single and shared bedrooms for up to 11 students.

For nearly 40 years, Ros Geal has been providing quality accommodation for third level female students, both from Ireland and abroad, while placing particular emphasis on the importance of volunteering. “Volunteering is all about seeing college in the context of a bigger picture: you have a role to play in making a difference,” Ms Meagher added. Care of the elderly is the main focus of volunteering, and as little as an hour a week can improve the quality of life for the aged in the local community.

Ros Geal is run by Brosna Educational Centres Ltd. Activities of a Christian formation at Ros Geal are entrusted to Opus Dei, a prelature of the Catholic Church.
