Galway Autism Partnership wants your old computers

Galway Autism Partnership is appealing to local businesses and the public to donate any old working laptops, PCs, and/or printers to the group, instead of throwing them out.

The GAP is in the process of getting an office space and, according to the group’s vice chair and secretary, Edel Abberton, such “donations could really get us off the ground”.

“GAP has worked from our family homes, but families in Galway need a central base from where GAP can grow and expand to make a real difference to those affected by autism spectrum disorder,” she said.

The GAP provides support and information to families living with autism. It organises regular family events, outings, support groups, and information seminars, as well as campaigning for autism awareness and improved services. The group is under the patronage of the Uachtaráin na hÉireann Michael D Higgins.
