PLAY IRISH for August

THROUGHOUT AUGUST, a number of Irish singers and musicians will be featured on Jon Richard’s Galway Bay FM show, as part of the PLAY IRISH initiative.

On Mondays, Sinead McNally’s ‘Something Has Changed’ from her debut EP 10,000 will be played. The singer-songwriter will perform in the London Olympic Park tomorrow on the stage organised by online music community UBR Unsigned Band Review.

On Tuesdays listen out for ‘Buenos Noches’ by Dan Trayers, frontman with the band Stonelakes. Dan has done two British and one US tour with The Saw Doctors; Wednesdays will feature ‘Wait’ from Paddy Casey’s forthcoming new album; on Thursdays listen out for ‘Sing’ by Maria Doyle Kennedy and Damien Rice; and on Fridays, Adrian Duffy’s ‘Everytime The Love Strikes’ will be played.

Each of the songs will be played at 1.10pm on its allotted day.
