The draw took place for the quarter-finals of the Salthill Hotel Senior Hurling Championship earlier in the week and threw up some top class ties.
The game between Portumna and Turloughmore is one to savour, as is the clash of city side Castlegar and the improving St Thomas. The other two clashes sees Gort taking on Padraig Pearses, and Mullagh facing Loughrea.
Those games are due down for decision on the weekend of the 22/23 of September which is also the weekend of the All-Ireland football final. What two teams will be competing in that?
