Mary Coughlan to play Inishbofin

THE GREAT jazz-blues singer Mary Coughlan, will be among the performers taking part in the Inishbofin Concerts series which takes place in the island’s Dolphin Hotel on Tuesdays.

Mary Coughlan will play the venue on Tuesday July 31, where she will perform a range of songs from across her career. She is also promoting her new single, a stripped down, jazz ballad, take on Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’. It is out now on iTunes. Mary will also play The Crane Bar, Sea Road, tonight and tomorrow at 9pm.

Other performers include Declan O’Rourke (August 7 ); Damien Dempsey (August 14 ); Duke Special (August 21 ); and Dessie O’Halloran (August 28 ), who will be joined by Sean and Kevin Abeyta (fiddles ), Geraldine King (guitar ), Sean and Cian Talty (pipers/flautists ).
