THE LAST Citóg to take place on a Friday night will be held tomorrow when The Souterrain, The West Nile Ramblers, Appian Way, and July Hawk take to the stage.
Come August the night, which supports and promotes independent music, will be held on Thursdays.
Music Connection Magazine described The Soutterain’s music as “organic, no frills, acoustic” with “dextrous stand-up bass and agile acoustic guitar”, while singer Lauren Norton has a voice that is “by turns sincere and flirtatious”.
The West Nile Ramblers are a California band who play western swing, country, and rock into a style the band themselves call ‘Western Garage’. Appian Way are a Mullingar quartet whose influences include the Pixies, Idlewild, and Dinosaur. Julie Hawk is a Galway singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist.
