THE DEADLINE for Irish and international artists working in any media, who wish to submit work for the TULCA 2012 visual arts festival is Monday August 13.
The theme for this year’s festival is ‘What became of the people we used to be?’ and will focus on various types of landscape - natural, built, and psychological - and how people react to their transformations.
TULCA 2012 will be curated by Greg McCartney. The idea behind this year’s theme is to encourage artists to respond to the current economic circumstances in Ireland and across Europe.
To apply e-mail applications that include a concise artist’s statement, artist CV, project proposal (500 words in length ), examples of previous work (no more that 10 images ). Videos to be sent as links to Youtube or similar (no more than two ).
