Strong Irish sales growth for Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover Ireland has achieved significant growth so far in 2012, writes Padraic Deane.

It has had combined sales for Land Rover and Jaguar of more than 800 vehicles up to the end of May – an increase of 39.7 per cent from the same period last year.

This growth is extremely encouraging given that new car sales for the industry as a whole are down by 8.7 per cent.

The sales increase is mainly owed to the phenomenal response received from customers and media to the two award-winning models on offer from each brand – the Jaguar XF 2.2 diesel and the new Range Rover Evoque.

Gerard O’Farrell, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover Ireland, told the Advertiser: “The increased demand for both Jaguar and Land Rover demonstrates the unique desirability and strength of our products. And with pricing starting from €39,000 for the Range Rover Evoque and €44,820 for the Jaguar XF, there has never been a better time to consider Jaguar and Land Rover.”
