Galway's historic victory over Kilkenny in Sunday's Leinster hurling final will be left behind this weekend as hurling supporters look forward to a feast of club championship action.
It is crunch time in all competitions in deciding many clubs’ participation in their respective championships.
The final group matches of the Salthill Hotel Senior Hurling Championship will take place with the four remaining quarter-final places up for grabs.
First up on Friday evening in Group A are Gort and Tommy Larkins in Loughrea at 7pm and Moycullen against Padraig Pearses at Athenry (7pm ).
On Sunday in Group B Portumna take on Kinvara (1.30pm ) in Loughrea, and Castlegar face Craughwll in Athenry (5.30pm ).
In Group C Beagh face Turloughmore (6.45pm ) at Athenry, and Mullagh take on Sarsfields in Duggan Park at 6.45pm.
There are also two games down for decision in Group D with Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry and Athenry in action in Loughrea at noon and St Thomas facing Loughrea in Ballinasloe at 5.30pm.
