THEY ARE from San Francisco, but their spiritual home is the Austrian Alps. They write songs about Arnold Schwarzenegger films, and have music critics praising them to the skyies.
They are Arnocorps, the punk-metal concept band and they play the Róisín Dubh tomorrow at 8pm in an ‘Usvsthem presents...’ show.
Resplendent in militaristic uniforms, the band describing their music as “Action Adventure Hardcore Rock and Roll” and refer to their audience as “Goddamn Heroes and Sheroes”. Their lyrics and musical ideas are informed by the films of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Austrian folklore and mythology of Austria.
The band have released a number of EPs and to date, one full length album in 2005’s The Greatest Band Of All Time. Metal Hammer called it “a victorious debut” while Terrorizer said it was “a work of deranged sublime genius”. Total Guitar went so far as to say: “This stuff’ll make you a goddamn sexual tyrannosaurus.”
