Seat recently previewed its latest model – the Seat Mii. The city car, which is due to launch in Ireland this month, has just received the maximum five stars in Euro NCAP’s latest round of safety tests, writes Padraic Deane.
Despite its compact dimensions, the Seat Mii performed superbly in the safety tests, scoring 89 per cent for adult occupancy safety, 80 per cent for child occupancy safety, 46 per cent for pedestrian safety, and also achieved 86 per cent for its safety assist systems. The systems include electronic stability control and the innovative city safety assist, which warns the driver or even brakes automatically if there is a threat of an accident at less than 30km/h.
At a length of just 3,56 metres, the Mii is the perfect size for parking in tight, city centre parking spaces. Moreover, the outstanding value-for-money and reasonable maintenance costs make the joy of driving a Mii more attainable.
Seat also says the Mii is also kinder to the environment as it is one of the cleanest cars in the world, using 4.2 litres, which equates to a CO2 figure of 97grams/km.
