THE PEOPLE behind such series as Mad Men and The Tudors are coming to give the masterclass in television writing and development at next month’s Galway Film Fleadh.
Lisa Albert, writer/producer on Mad Men; Ciaran Donnelly, producer/director on Titanic: Blood and Steel and Camelot and director on The Tudors; and Neil McCarthy editorial consultant and senior vice-president of worldwide drama for Fremantle Media, will give the masterclass on how to create great television drama.
They will look at create characters and scenes; how to communicate economically; how television writing differs from writing for cinema; and how Irish-based screenwriters and producers can get their work made.

There will be an opportunity for a Q&A session and five participants will also have a chance for a one-to-one meeting with Lisa Albert to receive feedback on an outline for a television series.
