Galway football captain Finian Hanley was to have a scan on his injured shoulder yesterday to determine his availability for Galway’s All-Ireland qualifier campaign.
Galway will be in action in round two of the qualifiers on Saturday July 14 against one of the winners from the first round - the draw for that round will take place next Monday.
The Salthill- Knocknacarra player’s shoulder was in a sling earlier in the week after suffering a fall in the game against Sligo. The Galway management team is hoping the injury will not rule him out of competitive action for too long.
