Republic of Football Embassy Tour comes to Galway

Ford’s ‘Republic of Football’ campaign is all about bringing the Irish football fans closer to the Ireland team and its players. This Saturday June 9, the Ford Republic of Football Embassy Tour will make its way to Motorpark on the Headford Road, Galway. Motorpark invite the people of Galway to declare their support for the Irish team and become a citizen of the Republic of Football in the embassy while you will also have the opportunity to win many prizes and great giveaways.

Visitors to the Republic of Football event will have the opportunity to take part in fun five-a-side matches, take part in a penalty shoot out and visit the Official Ford Embassy filled with Irish football memorabilia and view the best moments of Irish football history.

For the younger supporters there will be a selection of activities including bouncing castles, ice-creams and face painting. The event is open to the general public from 10am – 3pm. Five-a-side teams must be booked in advance, as space is limited, by logging on to www.facebook.com/Motorpark and posting “C’Mon Ireland”!

This promises to be a fun day for all the family with attractions for young and old and plenty of craic.

And, for one day only, Motorpark will be offer all customers who test drive a new Ford car a free €28 fuel voucher.

As an ambassador, John will be giving updates on the Ford Ireland Facebook page from the team camp in Poland as Ireland look to take on European football giants Italy and Croatia, as well as defending champions and World Cup winners Spain. He’ll be sending in regular posts from inside the camp including some funny pictures and videos as well as the serious stuff.

Comedian PJ Gallagher will be heading on a Road Trip across Europe to Poland as part of the “Republic of Football” campaign. The Dublin funnyman will be keep citizens of the Republic, especially those who cannot make it over to Poznan, updated as he’ll be at the heart of the action, mixing it up with the travelling fans as well as visits to the team’s training ground and all of Ireland’s games.
