Have you ever wanted to give mountain biking or BMXing a go but just never knew where to get started? Now is your chance for a mini midweek adventure. As part of National Bike Week 2012, Connemara MTB in conjunction with MBW Bike Shop and Unit 6 Skatepark is having an evening of activities on Wednesday June 20 — all free of charge.
There will be guided mountain bike rides on the community mountain bike trails in Killarainey Woods, free access to the BMX park and pump track, as well as BMX and trials riding displays.
All ability levels will be catered for, from absolute beginners to experts who want to try out a new bike or test their BMX skills in Ireland's only indoor bowl. MBW Bike Shop will also be on hand giving out tips on bike maintenance and set up, and will have a range of Kona demo bikes for everyone to try out both on- and off-road.
Fat Tyre night will take place from 5pm to 9pm. For further information see www.connne maramtb.com
