Despite the recession, West Ireland Cycling has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the leading bicycle tour companies in the west of Ireland.
As last year, WIC will be hiring bicycles for Bike Week, from June 16 to 24, from its stands located at the Spanish Arch in Galway.
You can hire a bicycle for two hours at no charge and, should you wish to hold onto it a little longer, there is a small charge of €2 per hour after this grace period. All proceeds from this event will go to the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI ).
WIC has also created a number of ‘wacky’ bikes, which the public can have a spin on at no charge. There will also be bike sculptures placed in the area; the sculptures were designed by Liam Codd, owner of West Ireland Cycling. All donations are welcome for this very worthy cause.
