SMA Family Day in Claregalway

The annual Society of African Missions Family Open Day takes place this coming Sunday, June 3 at the SMA House in Claregalway.

This ever-popular summer event promises to be a highly enjoyable afternoon for children and adults. There will be sports events, a bouncing castle, face painting, and dancing. There will also be a dog show which proved to be a great success in previous years.

Last year there was African cultural dancing and food from around the globe. This year there will be a barbecue, cake stall, and stalls selling plants and second-hand goods. There will also be a raffle with some great prizes.

The SMA Fathers are looking forward to the day and encourage people to get involved. Donations are always appreciated and people can help by donating plants, unwanted items, or baking in advance of the day.

This day looks set to be a promising one for all the family. Admission is free and all proceeds go to help the SMA’s missionary work in Africa. As space is at premium, patrons are advised to park outside the premises. Anyone willing to help in the event’s organisation should contact the SMA House
