Local businesses hit €1m mark with BNI

A local BNI group has generated more than €1m in revenue in the last two years.

The Claddagh Business Network International group comprises local business people who promote each other through word of mouth and referrals. The local network meet in the Claregalway Hotel every month. Members include a photographer, insurance advisor, and plumber.

Bernie Browne, chapter director, said the group was delighted with their achievement.

“BNI is all about word of mouth marketing and referrals which is a strategy that really cannot be beaten. In BNI you reap what you sow,” she said.

“The reason we are successful is that we have high calibre members in our chapter who are driven in growing their own business and the business of all members. This landmark of €1 million is proof that it is possible to grow in the face of a recession with the support of professionals and structured BNI training.”

Sandra Hart, executive director of BNI Ireland South and West, congratulated the group on their success.

“The Claddagh Chapter have proven that by supporting each other they can build their business. Landmarks such as this do not just happen, it takes focus and commitment but the great results make it worthwhile,” she said.

“We have many successful chapters throughout Galway and the west and we welcome all business people to come to a meeting as a guest.”

BNI was founded in the US 27 years ago and came to Ireland 13 years ago. It welcomes local businesses and trades to form a chapter and benefit from word-of-mouth marketing. If you are interested in developing your business with BNI visit www.bni.ie
