The search for missing man David Gilligan is continuing, over a week after the Roscommon native was last seen.
Mr Gilligan, 30, was last seen walking towards Dangan Heights, Newcastle, on Tuesday, May 22. He is described as being 6”1” in height, broadly built, with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a black Jack and Jones hoodie, with dark tracksuit bottoms.
Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them. Garda superintendent Marie Skehill has issued an appeal to landlords in the Dangan area for assistance in checking any vacant student accommodation.
More than 100 vounteers have been combing the greater Dangan area from the university to Bushypark in search of Mr Gilligan in the last few days.
