Galway Simon seeks volunteers

Galway Simon Community is calling on volunteers to sign up and help out with its upcoming Galway Simon Women’s Mini Marathon, where you can meet new people and win some amazing prizes.

The Galway Simon Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on Sunday, June 24, and the 10km race takes off from Grattan Road at 11am. The event, which is in its fourth year, is looking for people to get involved, get fit, and help raise much needed funds for Galway Simon in the fight against homelessness in Galway.

With the race hoping to attract some 2,500 competitors, Galway Simon is asking for any volunteers to come forward and help out on the day. More than 100 volunteers are required and anyone who is interested in volunteering is asked to contact Michelle Powell, Galway Simon, on 091 381828 or [email protected]

However, it is not all about the runners on the day, as Galway Simon has some amazing prizes up for grabs with all volunteers in with a chance of winning an incredible hamper from Grafton Hair Salon worth more than €350, and everyone heading home with a Galway Simon goody bag full of fantastic vouchers and products.

Michelle Powell, Galway Simon, said: “The success of this event has gone from strength to strength. We are delighted that the people of Galway and beyond continue to come and support Galway Simon in this event. A huge thank you goes out to all our volunteers who consistently help us and make this event a successful, safe, and enjoyable day out.”
