A special charity event for all the family takes place at the Shantalla Park (Sliding Rock ) on Saturday.
Organised by Scholars Walk, the group of businesses across from Galway University Hospital, in association with the Shantalla Residents Association, the event will feature a five-a-side soccer and a family fun day in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Galway Hospital Project
The charity event starts off at 9.30am with the five-a-sides and continues throughout the day with face painting, the Galway Community Circus, and bouncy castles. The Mayor of Galway, Hildegarde Naughton, will officially open the event at 11am, followed by a cake sale at 12 noon, while Mr Waffle will be on site with his tasty pancakes, as will Mr Tayto. There will be an afternoon BBQ as well as music and craic later that day.
