A 25-year-old man charged with dealing drugs valued at approximately €12,000 has been further remanded on continuing bail.
Zydrunas Bendorius with a rental address given as 13 An Creggan, Barna, appeared before Galway District Court on Monday charged with alleged possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply at Briarhill Shopping Centre on September 15, 2011, contrary to Section 15 and Section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977. He was further charged with possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis resin at the same location and date.
The court heard that the value of the drugs is approximately €12,000 and that the direction from the Director of Public Prosecutions was not yet avaible and a further adjournment would be needed.
Bendorious was then further remanded on continuing bail to appear at Galway District Court again on July 18 next for DPP directions.
