Aer Lingus takes over Knock-Birmingham route

Aer Lingus has stepped into the gap left by Bmibaby to provide a service from Knock to Birmingham.

The new Aer Lingus Regional flight between the Midlands and Ireland West Airport Knock will begin on June 11.

Niall Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, says the introduction of this new flight is good news for tourism to Mayo and the west of Ireland.

“As part of our ongoing co-operation with key carriers and airports, Tourism Ireland will undertake advertising and other promotions in Britain, together with Aer Lingus Regional, to maximise the demand for this route and boost tourism to Mayo and the west of Ireland.”
