Coláiste Iognáid rowers in top form at Limerick Regatta

Having claimed the top school trophy at the Irish Schools’ Rowing Championships last month, Coláiste Iognáid rowers continued their winning streak at the Limerick Regatta on Saturday.

The Jes crews took home eight gold medals in the mens and women’s events, as well as four places.

The Jes gold medal crews were: Women’s Junior 18 four, Olivia Forde, Ailbhe Murphy, Ailbhe Ní Ghríofa and Nicole Cooke; Women’s Junior 16 coxed four, Aoife Cushen, Niamh Heskin, Síle Lenihan, Kayleigh Ryan and cox Niamh Doran; Men’s Junior 18 single scull, Andrew Bell; Men’s Junior 18 double, Anthony Noone and Matthew Kelly; Men’s Junior 18 coxed four, Andrew Bell, Anthony Noone, Matthew Kelly, Robert Flynn and cox Luke Coughlan; Men’s Junior 16 coxed quad, Alex Coyne, Daragh McCarthy, Kai McGlacken, Donal Coen and cox Cian Hamilton; Men’s Junior 16 eight, Daniel Coughlan, Luke Rigney, Eoin Wall, Alex Burke, Alex Coyne, Daragh McCarthy, Kai McGlacken, Donal Coen and cox Luke Sheridan; Men’s Junior 15 double, Donal Coen and Ronan Goulding.
