ITALY’S TALISMANSTONE will play The Cellar Bar’s underground venue tonight from 8pm displaying a bass driven approach to metal, stoner rock, and indie.
TalismanStone are a guitar free three piece from Ravenna, Italy - Andrea (five-string bass, sitar, and synth ), Erica (four string bass and backing vocals ), and Lucia (drums and tabla ).
Since their formation in 2007 the band have released two albums - Sunya and Lovecraftopolis. Their sound is a mix of stoner rock, shoegaze, noise rock, post-punk, post-hardcore, industrial, metal, psychedelia, and indie. Lyrically they draw inspiration from writers and film-makers such as David Lynch, Terry Gilliam, Virginia Woolf, Philip K Dick, Henry Miller, William Burroughs, and JG Ballard.
Support is from Galway acts Weed Priest (occult stoner doom metal ), Negativ Result (heavy metal ), and Ruairi O’Baoighill (ambient ), and Ennis grunge band Tensor. Admission is free.
