Cúirt International Festival of Literature 2012 came to a close last Sunday after a great week of events.
Audiences enjoyed readings, views, and banter between David Mitchell and Simon Van Booy on Saturday night and while the readings of poets Billy Collins and Tess Gallagher on Friday evening drew much laughter from the large crowds in attendance.
The opening also proved a success featuring two of Ireland’s leading poets in Paul Durcan and Rita Ann Higgins. It sold out well in advance of the festival opening.
The Cúirt organisers say they are pleased with how things have gone and reported general positivity from festival goers and writers alike.
