ARE YOU trying to write a novel, a short story, a collection of stories, poems, or even a play or film script, but feel you need a little help and advice?

If the answer is Yes a new course, Writers At Work, in the Galway Arts Centre by poet and short story writer Susan Millar DuMars, could be for you.

Writers At Work takes place on Tuesdays (2pm to 4pm ) starting on Tuesday May 8 and runs for eight weeks. There will be in-class writing exercises and participants will read two 15 page extracts from other students’ manuscripts and be prepared for a 20-30 minute discussion on same.

Susan has written two collections of poetry, Big Pink Umbrella and Dreams for Breakfast, and the short story collection Lights In The Distance.
