NUI GALWAY student and community radio station Flirt FM will be broadcasting two new documentary series starting this week.
In Search Of A Better World is a six part documentary about activism in Galway featuring Suas, NUI Galway’s MA in public advocacy, Amnesty, women’s studies, ALIVE, and the Irish Centre for Human Rights.
There will be interviews with activists such as Sarah Clancy, Dan O’Neill and Dr Ray Murphy, and on the street vox-pops discovering what Galwegians think of the issues involved. The series airs at 4.30pm each Thursday, starting today.
Ó Bhruach na Coiribe is a 25 part series profiling NUIG alumni. Each 10 minute episode airs on weekdays at 5.40pm, and has a brief biography of each subject before we find out what their life as a student was like, and his/her professional life.
The series will feature interviews with Connacht Rugby’s Gavin Duffy, Prof Frank Imbusch, Fine Gael’s Sen Fidelma Healy-Eames, and Ríona Hughes.
Flirt FM is on 101.3fm and online at http://www.flirtfm.ie and is on air from 1pm to 4am.
