Tickets for the Salthill Park concert by English folk-pop band Mumford & Sons go on sale this Saturday at 9am.
This week also saw the announcement of the full concert line-up as British new wave band The Vaccines, Willy Mason, Zulu Winter, Nathaniel Rateliff, and The Correspondents also taking to the stage.
Mumford & Sons will play Salthill Park, on Saturday June 9 as part of the band’s ‘Gentlemen of the Road Stopover…’ tour.
“The Gentlemen of the Road Stopover is based loosely upon our favourite festivals like Colorado’s Telluride Bluegrass and Scotland's Loopallu Festivals,” Mumford & Sons have said. “We want to stop off in towns not usually heavily toured by bands, and celebrate the people, food, and music that inhabit them.”
The band added that they are “keen to promote the town’s local businesses” and that they will be “using the local bars and venues for aftershow parties, whilst working closely with the local people to get everyone involved in making these shows spectacular”.
Tickets are from €49.50, including booking fee, and will be available from Musicglue.com and local outlets. For more information see www. gentlemenoftheroad.com, www.mumfordandsons.com, and www.mcd.ie
