Remember Opium, that warm oriental Yves Saint Laurent fragrance first marketed in 1977? Its top notes were a mixture of fruit and spices and underlined by a sweet woody base note.
Lovers of the perfume can now enjoy Vapeurs de Parfum, a light and fresh reinterpretation which respects the character of the original creation.
The makers say the original idea has lost none of its history, only the texture has changed. The shape of the iconic bottle has been restyled: it is now sleeker and conducive to generous perfuming and application.
On the box, the emblematic signs of OPIUM (leaves of acanthus and the midnight blue line ) contrast with the radiance of the new powdery pink prime colour.
* Yves Saint Laurent Opium de Vapeurs costs €57 for 50ml, €80 for 75ml and €110 for 125ml and will be available from local stockists from late April.
