Off-the-field entertainment, as well as football, will be provided at Pearse Stadium this Sunday.
In an effort to make the occasion more family friendly and help produce a good atmosphere for Galway’s joust with Kildare, the Galway Football Board is providing face painting and an Easter egg giveaway for children. All u-16s will have free admission at the turnstiles
The Atlantic Pirates, who are forging an impressive reputation as a top folk band, will provide half-time entertainment and there will also be a free draw for signed Galway jerseys and footballs.
Team manager Alan Mulholland is appealing to Galway GAA fans to come out and support the football team on Sunday.
“It is our last home league game of the year and Kildare supporters travel in big numbers, so we are asking all Galway GAA supporters to don their maroon and white and come in on Sunday to cheer the lads on. It is a big game for the team and we would really appreciate as much colour and vocal support as possible.”
