FORMER UNDERWORLD member and now solo DJ Darren Emerson will DJ at the MUSIK clubnight in Kelly’s, Bridge Street, this Saturday.
Darren is a highly influential figure in dance music, with a 17 year career that has seen him work with everyone from Depeche Mode to Jamie Cullum. He joined Underworld in the early 1990s and would help the band create their acclaimed 1993 album dubnobasswithmyheadman and 1996 hit single ‘Born Slippy’.
Darren left Underworld in 2000 to concentrate on a solo career as a DJ, remixer, and label owner. He has released various Global Underground compilations and in 2010 launched a new label, DETONE, on which he has so far released the club tracks ‘Gracelands’ and ‘Decisions’.
